Player Profile
Khephren’s ties to Juventus and Italy go back a long way, having been born in Reggio Emilia when his father - former Bianconeri star Lilian - was playing with another Serie A side, Parma. From there, the Thuram family moved to Turin in the summer of 2001 and now, 23 years later, Khephren has come back again.
Khephren took his first steps in football in France, near Paris. His first club was Neuilly-sur-Seine - the youth team of Olympique de Neuilly, and he then moved to Athletic Club Boulogne-Billancourt. At 13 he was selected by INF Clairefontaine and included among the 20 best French footballers born in 2001.
Having joined Monaco, Khephren made his debut in the Champions League at the age of 17 in November 2018 against Atletico Madrid, and he moved on to Nice in 2019. Thuram would go on to play 167 times for Nice, scoring nine goals and providing 11 assists. In his five years there, he collected more Ligue 1 appearances than any of his teammates (141), and had the second-most duels (942).
Khephren developed a lot with Nice and showed his physical and technical characteristics in recent seasons. He impressed to the extent that he earned a France call-up from Didier Deschamps and made his international debut against The Netherlands on 24 March, 2023.
