Following a slight delay after her winter transfer window signing, Annalisse Rasmussen has finally united with her Juventus Women teammates in Torino.
The 20-year-old Australian, who signed a long-term deal with the Bianconere until 2028, is both elated and proud at having signed on in black and white, revealing her emotions in this first exclusive interview with the Club.
OVERJOYED
“I'm just so happy to finally be here. There was a lot going on, yes, but I'm just overjoyed to finally be here in Torino and with the team.
“When I first heard of Juve’s interest, I was really excited. Obviously Juventus is a very big club, and I remember speaking to my parents and we were just delighted. To finally be here, it feels surreal.
MAKING HISTORY
“I'm really, really proud to be the first Australian here at Juventus, to represent all the Australian female footballers back home. I think I can be a role model for many young players, and I hope I'm a good demonstration that you can come and play abroad at a big club.
“I think every footballer knows about Juventus, both the women's and the men's teams and the success it’s had as a club, so I’m super excited to now be a part of this great club.
BIG STEP
“I think back home in Australia, I was really comfortable, especially at my old club where I knew everyone and everything. I think being younger and playing in Australia, I always wanted to play abroad. In terms of my development, I think this will be a really big step for me.
“I'm a very physical player. I feel like I like the ball into my feet and I'm really fast, especially in behind. I do like to call myself a goal scorer as well!
OFF-FIELD INTERESTS
“Back home in Australia, I think the beach was the biggest thing, going out with my friends, being out in the water. But I really love going out for coffee, so I think I can do that a lot here! But yes, spending time with my friends and family is really important to me.
AMBITIONS
“I hope to achieve growth both in my own footballing abilities and testing myself on the field, but also off the field in a new environment, by just learning from all the players and coaches around me.
“I'm so happy to be here and so invested in this club, and I just want to do my best for everyone involved here at Juventus!"
