Sara Gama, Coach Massimiliano Canzi and Martina Rosucci spoke to the press after Juventus Women First Team’s 0-1 loss against Inter on the final matchday of the Women’s Serie A Poule Scudetto.

SARA GAMA

“There are so many emotions, I wanted to hug all the girls. I took some time to say goodbye in the best possible way. As a child I thought about having fun, I didn't think I could have this career. Without the passion and the desire to have fun when you are a child, nothing comes of it, that is fundamental. I have had so many good moments in my career, I couldn't end it in a better way than I did this year after winning a league title.”

MASSIMILIANO CANZI

“I am honoured to have been the coach in charge of Sara Gama's final farewell. I came into this world (of women’s football) this year and Sara for me is the emblem of women's football. I was privileged to coach her, and I will carry that with me forever. Today we didn't play a good first half, losing is never pleasing even though today we knew the atmosphere was celebratory. We know what to work on ahead of the Coppa Italia final, it's a very important trophy that was part of our objectives at the start of the season.”

MARTINA ROSUCCI

“The embrace with Sara was a privileged moment. Sara has guided us every day, she will continue to do so, and she deserves everything that there has been today. What she has done I think no one else will ever be able to do. Today we have allowed ourselves this celebration, there is a bit of bitterness about today's result but after we won the league we immediately told ourselves that the season was not over. We are totally focused on the Coppa Italia final. This team never ceases to amaze me and it has helped me so much. This is a Scudetto for the people who have made the difference.”
