“Difficult moments make us stronger together so it's time to be united. Clearly, we are very unhappy. We’ve played two games below our level, but we’re still convinced that we can come out of this moment united and with Thiago Motta. Our project started a long time ago, when we had to overhaul the squad and reduce wages, so some difficulties are to be expected. But we must not think about that now, because our only thought is to qualify for next season's Champions League. We have to be clear headed in analysing what’s happened over the last few days, and we have to do it with balance, on and off the pitch, to understand together what we have to put right. We were the best defence in the league and we conceded seven goals in a week, which means we all have to find this balance together. This is also confirmed by the fact that until now the team had always reacted well to a negative performance and this time it didn't happen. We must all work together.”
THIAGO MOTTA
“We need to improve how we handle difficulties, because at the first sign of a tough situation we struggle to react, and this happened again today. We need balance, both in defence and in attack, and we have to work to regain the solidity we had before.
"Leaving? It would be too easy, and I never choose the easy way out. Our goal remains Champions League qualification, we'll find a way to get back to winning ways from our next game.
"Formation choices? I always decide based on what the team needs, and we all have to come out of this together.”

“There’s no doubt we’re feeling bad tonight, just like we did after the game against Atalanta. We’re the first ones to suffer, to be disappointed, to be aware that this is not enough. We have to help ourselves, stay tight and work hard, put in all the effort that is needed. Giving up is something we don’t even consider and I can guarantee that we won’t.
"We’ll watch the game again and again, to understand what we’re missing. The director is right, he told us to start over again immediately and he wanted to give us a shock. It’s the same shock that has to come from within each of us, analysing ourselves as individuals and as a group.
"Obviously, we’re behind the coach. We follow him in his ideas, and coming together means exactly this: we’re all disappointed.”
