Friday night football action sees Juventus travel to Sardinia to take on Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena.
Juventus have always been a tough opponent for the hosts, who have not beaten the Bianconeri in their previous 13 encounters.
Ahead of Friday's 20:45 CEST kick-off, here's ten things to know about the Rossoblu.
- Juventus is one of the two teams, together with Milan, against which Cagliari has finished the most home matches without scoring in Serie A (16).
- Cagliari have won 13 points in their last eight games played in Serie A (3W, 4D, 1L), one more than they did in the previous 14 matches in the competition (3W, 3D, 8L).
- The Rossoblu have won six home games this season, already improving on what they did in Serie A in both 2020/21 (five wins) and 2021/22 (three home wins) – two of these wins came in the last three home games (1D), as many as in the previous seven.
- Only Napoli (19) have won more points than Cagliari (17) after falling behind in Serie A this season; in particular, the Sardinian team boasts 14 points recovered once they were behind at home, at least five more than any other team in home matches in the current campaign (Lecce follows with nine).
- Eldor Shomurodov (goal against Inter and assist against Atalanta in the last two matchdays) has participated in a goal in consecutive matches in a single Serie A season for the first time in almost three years.
- Alberto Dossena, whose first Serie A goal came against Juventus, is the player who has made the most defensive clearances (142) and headers (78) this Serie A season. The defender is also the Rossoblù with the most tackles (54) and interceptions (40) made so far this campaign.
- Alberto Dossena's first goal in Serie A came against Juventus, in this season’s reverse fixture.
- Antoine Makoumbou is one of only two players this season, with Ondrej Duda, to have already received two red card; the last Cagliari player with three red cards in a single Serie A season was Diego López in 2008/09.
- Gaetano Oristanio, born in 2002, is behind only Valentín Carboni (2005) and Giovanni Fabbian (2003) among the youngest midfielders to have taken part in at least three goals in Serie A this season.
- Alessandro Di Pardo played the first four games in Serie A with the Juventus shirt, under Andrea Pirlo's reign in 2020/21.
