The Juventus Women’s First Team lost 2-1 away from home on Matchday 10 of the 2025/26 Serie A Women season. Cecilia Salvai's early goal was not enough for the Bianconere to take three points in the city of Milan.
THE MATCH REPORT
Juventus got off to a strong start, taking the lead immediately from a corner kick in the 4th minute. Salvai was perfectly positioned in the six-yard box and rose high to meet Lia Walti's precise cross, scoring with a header that left Cecilia Runarsdottir with no chance. Inter threatened through Tessa Wullaert, but Danielle de Jong was alert and stretched to make the save, keeping Juventus' lead intact.
The Bianconere continued to play with confidence and created another good opportunity through Amalie Vangsgaard, who cut inside onto her right foot and shot from distance, only to be denied by the Nerazzurri number one. In the 13th minute, however, Inter equalised with Karolina Vilhjalmsdottir beating De Jong. Massimiliano Canzi's team didn't lose their composure and came very close to taking the lead again with Cristiana Girelli: the number 10 made a perfect turn, but Runarsdottir excelled herself with an instinctive save, tipping the ball away.
In the final minutes of the half, however, Inter struck from a set piece, with Marija Milinkovic scoring from a corner. The Bianconere ended the first half on the offensive, coming close to equalising just before the break with a shot from Paulina Krumbiegel, which Katie Bowen sacrificed herself to save with her body. The first half ended with the hosts in the lead.
The Bianconere immediately came close to making it 2-2 thanks to intense attacking pressure. A mistake in Inter's build-up play opened up space for Vangsgaard, who, with the goal almost open, fired in a powerful shot, but Bowen saved on the goal line.
Substitute Barbara Bonansea came close to equalising with a powerful and precise volley, but Milinkovic managed to block the shot a few steps from the goal. In the final minutes, despite their fatigue, the Bianconere tried until the very end to get back into the game.
In the 89th minute, Krumbiegel found an excellent pass in the box for Estela Carbonell, who shot first time with her right foot, but the ball went over the bar. The last chance fell to Krumbiegel in added time, but she was unable to get a shot past the home goalkeeper. The match in Milan ended 2-1 to the Nerazzurri.
