The Women's First Team discovered their League Phase opponents for the UEFA Women's Champions League on Friday. Juventus' Head of Women's Football, Massimiliano Mazzetta shared his thoughts on the draw.
“The UEFA Women’s Champions League represents the pinnacle of European football and, having reached this stage of the competition, we know that every draw presents a challenge of the very highest calibre. We will be facing teams of the very highest calibre, and this is a major incentive for us, as well as an opportunity to test ourselves once again against the leading sides in international football.
"Our aim is to represent Juventus in the best possible way, to compete with character and ambition, and to try to go as far as we can in the tournament. We will do so with determination, courage and great respect for our opponents, fully aware of the quality of the competition and the importance of every single match.
"We are also particularly delighted to see three Italian clubs through to this stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. It is an important sign of the growth of women’s football in Italy and of the competitiveness our teams are demonstrating on the European stage as well.”
