Having confirmed the signing of Paulina Krumbiegel before the end of last season, Juventus Women are welcoming another internationally known player for the summer campaign. Hanna Bennison is officially our newest Bianconera.
The 22-year-old midfielder joins the club from Everton in the Women’s Super League, signing a 3-year contract that will tie her to the club until 30 June, 2027.
Born in Lomma in Sweden’s south, Hanna’s first steps in football were taken with GIF Nike, a multi-sports club in her hometown.
From there she moved on to Rosengard, and made the step from the youth team to the first team, debuting in the Swedish Cup as a youngster in 2017. She wouldn’t debut in the Swedish top flight until April 2018, and from 2019 she became a mainstay until leaving for Everton in 2021 after having made close to 50 appearances and winning a league title.
On Merseyside, Hanna’s development continued. Adapting to a new style of play from what she had been used to, she took everything in her stride and impressed with the Toffees.
Hanna earned a Sweden call-up to play with the youth teams in 2017, and her first call to the senior side came as early as 2019. As has been the case everywhere for her, she quickly proved her ability and became a regular in the side, going on to secure a third-place finish at the 2023 Women’s World Cup and even claiming a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo as well.
We cannot wait to see her on the pitch with our Bianconere.
Welcome to Juventus, Hanna!
